Furr Boost gummy treats for dogs recipe
- ½ cup Furr Boost
- ½ cup cold water
- 3 tablespoons unflavoured gelatine powder (250 bloom) - I use this gelatine
Step 1: Mix the Furr Boost and water in a small saucepan.
Step 2: Sprinkle the gelatine powder over the liquid and let it sit for a few minutes to bloom.
Step 3: Gently heat the mixture over low heat on the hob while stirring until the gelatine dissolves completely. Take care not to boil it, as this can affect gelatine's thickening properties and cause it not to set. Alternatively, you can use the microwave and microwave the mixture in short bursts.
Step 4: Pour the mixture carefully into your silicone moulds, then refrigerate the treats to set them.
Placing the silicone moulds on a cookie sheet before filling is beneficial as it will provide stability and make transferring them to the fridge much easier. However, you also have the option to let the moulds sit at room temperature for a short while, allowing the mixture to begin setting slightly before transferring them to the fridge if you don't have a cookie sheet to use.
Step 5: Once set, remove the treats from the moulds, and they are ready for your pup to enjoy.
Remember to store these homemade dog treats in an airtight container in the refrigerator to keep them fresh or in the freezer for longer-term storage.
So there you have it – your very own homemade Furr Boost gummy treats for dogs. This recipe provides an easy and effective way to treat your pup with something nutritious and enjoyable. It's a straightforward approach to dog treats; however, its simplicity ensures you know exactly what your dog is consuming without any unnecessary additives.
